Kim received her training through the Franciscan Spirituality Center and the Center for Action & Contemplation's Living School. 

She is a lifetime seeker and is passionate about living a contemplative and embodied spirituality - bringing all of herself to, and finding the Divine in, each moment. 

Kim lives in Iowa City with her husband, Tom. She enjoys her time as a wife, mom, step-mom, grandma, contemplative seeker, reader, occasional writer, yogi and gardener.  In a previous life, she was a hospital pharmacist and manager.

What is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual Direction is a practice where individuals are companioned as they listen closely for the presence of the Divine in their lives. It involves sacred conversation, deep listening, presence and discernment.  Thomas Merton once said, "The whole purpose of spiritual direction is to penetrate beneath the surface of a person's life...to bring out one's inner spiritual freedom, one's inmost truth..."

How can I benefit from Spiritual Direction?

Engaging in Spiritual Direction can provide clarity, support, and a deeper understanding of your spiritual path and transformation as experienced in the challenges, truths, joys and sorrows of your everyday life. It offers a confidential, safe space to reflect, inquire and discern.

Is Spiritual Direction only for religious individuals?

All are welcome...

Spiritual Direction is for anyone seeking to deepen their spiritual awareness, regardless of religious background.

"The Way is many ways", and this journey is about personal transformation and connection to the Divine.

What should I expect in my first spiritual direction session, and how much does it cost?

Prior to your first visit, I'll ask you to consider a few questions to consider  regarding your image and names for the Divine, as well as around any current prayer/meditaiton practices.  Sessions last 60  minutes, scheduled every 4 to 6 weeks. 

I'm committed to making Spiritual Direction affordable to all seekers.  Initial consultations are free,  and subsequent visits have a "pay-as-able" fee schedule of $25 to $75 per session.
